Repentance
A true-to-life play about valuing your parents and where chasing greed and high position leads.
The play is about valuing one’s parents. It shows that following greed and chasing high position does a person no good. Through the young hero, the author shows how badly things end for someone who trusts in passing wealth and position and gives in to greed.
When the young man tries to escape punishment by putting the blame for his own mistake on his father, the father cannot bear what has happened and his unworthy son’s deeds, and he dies. After losing his father, the young man is left with remorse and bitter regret.
The play explores many questions, such as the bad consequences of acting without thinking and the reasons why families break apart. Its truth to life and well-built plot hold the audience’s attention.
